I always love it when I go to something like that and just bask in the Spirit with wonderful like minded people. I loved that you celebrated Christmas with your daughter that couldn't come so sweet. ![]() ![]() Right now my three daughters live too far away maybe someday. I would love to get all my daughters and daughter in laws to come and go. I think it is awesome that you have made this a tradition. They of course, did the same thing with the bathrooms. We laughted, cried and just enjoy every moment. My two daughter in laws and granddaughter came down around my birthday and we went to it in Sandy. I loved this one because it reminded me of my own experience as TOFW. It was a great break from our everyday routine. Good blog reminding me of our neat weekend. I took pictures but it was an overcast, windy day and my photos did not turn out too good so I found the following picture on the lds.org site. We left early enough that we could attend a session in the Ogden Temple.A perfect way to start our uplifting journey. This year (February 17th - 18th), we left much earlier to reach our destination. Sunrise and sunset were about 1 hour later on than the day before. We book a hotel (Holiday Inn Express) within walking distance to everything. When local standard time was about to reach Sunday, March 12, 2017, 2:00:00 am clocks were turned forward 1 hour to Sunday, March 12, 2017, 3:00:00 am local daylight time instead. The venue (Davis Conference Center) is much bigger so there is more room to walk around plus the seating has a lot more leg room. Each Time Out For Women is fabulous but because of the places being held, we all prefer attending in Layton. The past three years we have traveled to Layton, Utah, whereas before, we were attending in Idaho Falls. Whether they connect through or at a local event, TOFW women are choosing to be uplifted, reenergized, educated, entertained, and inspired with thousands of women all over the world. What started as an inspirational weekend event full of music, cheering, presenters, friends, and laughter has grown into a worldwide community of like-minded women seeking good. To give you a little insight about TOFW, I went to their web page and retrieved the following information: For 15 years, Time Out for Women has been inviting faithful women to step away from the daily routine and make space for themselves and their spiritual lives. With the exception of missing one year, we have attended five TOFW programs. Fisher said, “.this year’s theme is take courage my heart, and it’s based off the scripture Psalms 27:14 that says wait on the Lord.so the entire theme is a reminder that God is always with us and will strengthen us and we exercise faith in Him.”įisher says she loves going to Time Out for Women. Fisher’s favorite part is befriending new people. She said, “.my favorite moment is being able to connect with someone that you’ve never met before and being able to leave knowing that you are great friends by the end of it. It is so great to see and interact with all of these women and hear their stories and why they are at time out or why they felt they needed to go to time out or how they got there. Fisher says this theme is based off a scripture in Psalms. Inspirational Speakers such as Anthony Sweat, Barbara Morgan Gardner and more will be presenting that weekend.Įach year the theme changes for TOFW. The Idaho Falls TOFW will feature singer Callee Reed and The Nashville Tribute Band. This inspiring weekend features speakers and performers from around the country. Time Out for Women, an inspirational women’s conference is coming soon to Idaho Falls. March 20th to the 21st women of all ages will gather at the Idaho Falls Civic Auditorium for an uplifting weekend. The event is designed for women 16 and up.Įvents Marketing Manager for Time Out for Women, Kamie Fisher, says, “Time Out for Women is crafted for women of faith all around the world to be able to come together and gather for a weekend full of music and messages that will inspire and focus and renew their spirits.” ![]()
